About
It started in a tent…

Late nineties. An all-girls camp under the redwoods, the kind of night where everyone’s supposed to be asleep. One of the older girls had a paperback — the kind with a cover you’d hide from your mother — and she read it to us. Not out loud, exactly. But in a whisper.
I remember the sound before the words: the soft rasp of pages turning as she hunted for her place, that papery hush in the dark. Then the good parts, whispered across the tent while the rest of us pressed our hands over our mouths, scandalized and delighted and completely riveted.
That was my first taste of a romance novel. A little naughty, a little bit dangerous if we got caught, and yet so much fun. I never forgot it — and looking back, the first frequency I ever loved was that one: turning pages and a written world coming to life by whispered words in the dark.
Years later, I’m still that girl — just grown up, with a Kindle that knows too much and a group chat that knows even more. The thrill never left; it only got more articulate. And somewhere along the way I realized the feeling those books give us doesn’t have to stay on the page. The tension, the praise, the slow build — that’s a language. If you’ve read enough of them, you’re already fluent.
Blushing Frequency is that whisper in the tent, all grown up.
It’s for the reader who finishes the chapter wanting to live a little of it — who wants the words, the nerve, the version of herself the good books make her feel like. Playful, knowing, a little wicked. Built by a reader, for readers, in the language we already speak.
Welcome in.
The good parts are about to be read aloud in the dark.
